Dallas Stars Prospect Report: Matej Stransky stays hot

Here are some notes on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, college and the European leagues.

*RW Matej Stransky (sixth round/2011) continues to rack up the points for Saskatoon of the Western Hockey League. Stransky had 8 points (6 goals, 2 assists) and a plus-8 rating in four games last week. On Friday, Stransky scored three goals – all in the first period – as Saskatoon defeated Brandon, 7-4. Stransky has registered points in 14 of his last 15 games, and has 25 points (14 goals, 11 assists) during that stretch. He has 76 points (37 goals, 39 assists) in 62 games, ranking 10th in the WHL in goals and 11th in points.

*RW Brett Ritchie (second round/2011) scored two goals as Niagara defeated Kingston, 4-1, in the Ontario Hockey League Saturday. Ritchie, who snapped a six-game goal scoring drought with the two tallies, has 64 points (33 goals, 31 assists) in 46 games this season. He ranks 10th in the OHL in goal scoring.

*D Troy Vance (fifth round/2011) had 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists) and a plus-4 rating in three games over the past week for P.E.I. of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Since being traded to P.E.I. from Victoriaville earlier this season, Vance has 8 points (1 goal, 7 assists) and a plus-11 rating in 19 games.
