Dallas Stars Reduce Training Camp Roster by Ten

Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the team has reduced the training camp roster by ten players. The Stars training camp roster now stands at 40 players including four goaltenders, 13 defensemen and 23 forwards.

The following five players have been assigned to their respective clubs:

Player: Ryan Button

Position: Defenseman

Team assigned to: Texas (AHL)

Acquired: Via Trade, July 4, 2013

Player: Hubert Labrie

Position: Defenseman

Team assigned to: Texas (AHL)

Acquired: Signed as a Free Agent, Sept. 18, 2009

Player: Curtis McKenzie

Position: Left Wing

Team assigned to: Texas (AHL)

Acquired: 2009 NHL Draft (6th round, 159th overall)

Player: Taylor Peters

Position: Center

Team assigned to: Texas (AHL)

Acquired: Signed as a Free Agent, March 4, 2013

Player: Radek Faksa

Position: Center

Team assigned to: Kitchener (OHL)

Acquired: 2012 NHL Draft (1st round, 13th overall)

Also, the following five players were released from their tryouts. All will report to the Texas Stars training camp:
