| Derek Roy (DAIR-ihk ROI) is entering his ninth NHL season and his first with the Stars after skating with the Buffalo Sabres for the past eight seasons. He was acquired in a trade from Buffalo on July 2, 2012 in exchange for Steve Ott and Adam Pardy. Roy exits the Sabres’ organization tied for the most regular season overtime goals (6) and ranks ninth all-time in assists. Since being drafted by the team in 2001, Roy earned more assists (266), played more games (549), and earned the third-most goals (161) and points of anyone on the Sabres.
