| Alex Goligoski (AL-ehx goh-lih-GAW-skee) was acquired from Pittsburgh on Feb. 21, 2011 in exchange for Matt Niskanen and James Neal. Goligoski skated in 71 games last season, his first full season in Dallas. Goligoski led all Stars defenseman with 30 points (9 goals, 21 assists), and also tied for the team lead in average ice time, averaging 22:46 per game (tied with Stephane Robidas). Goligoski enters the 2012-13 season two assists shy of recording his 100th career NHL assist.
