| Philip Larsen (FILL-uhp, Lahr-sen ) is entering his second full season with the Stars, and his fourth overall with the club. Larsen’s plus-11 rating last season was tied for the lead among Dallas defensemen. In 2011-12, the Denmark native scored his first career NHL goal, becoming the first Danish-born blue liner to accomplish that feat since Vancouver’s Poul Poupiel in 1971-72. Of players that have skated with the Dallas Stars in each of the last three seasons, he is one of only four skaters who has earned a cumulative plus-10 rating or better (+13). Larsen competed in the 2012 IIHF World Championship where he earned two assists in seven games for Denmark. He also posted a team-leading 23 shots in the tournament, and had the highest time-on-ice per game of anyone on Denmark’s National Team (25:05). Personal
