| Ryan Garbutt (RIGH-uhn GAHR-buht) is entering his second NHL season and his fourth overall
in professional hockey. Over the course of his hockey career, Garbutt has made a habit of making the most of the opportunities he has been given. At 27-years-of-age, he has already played for five professional organizations. At each stop, he has excelled, often working his way from the bottom of the line-up to the top. He was runner-up as the CHL’s Rookie of the Year in 2010 and was named to the CHL All-Rookie Team that year. He was also the MVP of the MJHL and was selected to the ECAC All-Academic Team twice. He is often credited with having an extraordinary work ethic, and plays a style that is “hard to play against.” Garbutt is a graduate of Brown University and holds a degree in economics/sociology.
