Zubov Gets Treatment Overseas

Stars Coach Dave Tippett said after Thursday’s morning skate in Phoenix that defenseman Sergei Zubov had a procedure overseas to address lingering problems from a sports hernia injury and that it went well. Zubov will fly back to Dallas on Friday and he will be re-evaluated. Tippett said there is no specific timetable for his return but the team hopes he will have a speedy recovery.

Tippett also said that forward Brad Richards is “under the weather and will miss tonight’s game.”

Johan Holmqvist will start in net tonight for Dallas vs. the Coyotes.
