Stars recall Daley from Utah

December 30, 2003

Dallas Stars' General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Trevor Daley from the Utah Grizzlies, the Stars' primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Daley, 20, has appeared in 17 games with the Stars this season, registering one goal and four assists for five points. Making his NHL debut on Oct. 25 at Columbus, Daley recorded his first career NHL goal on Dec. 10 at Phoenix and his first career NHL point on Nov. 12 vs. Detroit. In 11 games with Utah this year, he has posted three assists.

The Stars (17-16-5-0) will try and extend their five-game unbeaten streak (4-0-1-0) tomorrow night against the Montreal Canadiens (7:30 p.m. CST, FSN). The Stars are unbeaten in their past nine New Year's Eve contests, posting an 8-0-1-0 mark over those nine outings.
