Stars activate Erskine off IR

Dallas Stars General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today that the National Hockey League club has activated defenseman John Erskine off the team's injured reserve list.
Erskine, 23, has missed the last five games due to a slight ankle sprain. He has appeared in 31 games for the Stars this season, scoring one assist with 79 penalty minutes.
The 6-4, 215-pound defenseman has played in 80 career NHL games, accruing 2-2-4 points and 170 penalty minutes. Erskine will be available to play today in Dallas' home contest vs. the Colorado Avalanche that begins at Noon, CST (ABC, channel 8 in Dallas-Ft. Worth).
