The Dallas Stars announced today that the NHL team will celebrate its fans in this Sunday's regular season finale vs. the Chicago Blackhawks with Fan Appreciation Day (2 PM CDT face-off).
Fans can register to win some great prizes upon entering the doors of American Airlines Center at four different locations on the concourse, with registration closing at the end of the first period. Prizes will be given away to lucky fans from a random draw throughout the second and third periods, including player autographed pucks, sticks and hats.
Twenty-nine lucky fans in attendance will each receive the grand prize of being presented with a Dallas Stars jersey on the ice following the game. All twenty-nine players currently on the Stars roster will each autograph their jersey for the respective winners and pose for a picture with them.
All fans in attendance over the age of 21 will receive a Miller Lite Dallas Stars poster, featuring a collage of Stars action photos. In addition, a fan appreciation video will be run on the scoreboard following the game.
The Stars will also officially recognize the team's 7th Man, 18 year-old Joey Picca, during the second intermission on Sunday. Picca was selected from more than 200 essay entries by the club as the Dallas Stars Fan of the Year. In addition, Picca will be entered into the League-wide contest to determine the NHL Fan of the Year from the 30 team winners (more info in press release below).
A limited amount of tickets remain for Sunday's game, as well as individual playoff tickets for Dallas' first two home games in the first round (dates, times and opponent to be determined). Please call 214 GO STARS to order tickets or log onto dallasstars.com.
