Stars National TV Schedule Announced

FRISCO, Tex. -- The National Hockey League announced today the U.S. national television network schedule for the 2005-06 regular season. New television partners OLN and NBC will televise the Dallas Stars a total of 11 times during the season.

The Stars will be featured on national broadcasts on OLN, the exclusive cable partner of the NHL, seven times in '05-06 beginning with their third game of the season on Tuesday, Oct. 11 vs. Phoenix as Wayne Gretzky will be behind the Coyotes' bench in an important Pacific Division battle.

NBC Sports' broadcast season begins on Saturday, January 14 with three regional games, including Dallas at Boston (1 p.m. CST). The Stars will be on NBC a total of four times throughout the season.

NBC will preview the NHL season, and examine how the new rule changes will transform the game, with a half-hour show on Saturday, October 1 at 1 p.m. (CST).

NBC Sports will present six weeks of Saturday afternoon regular season auction: January 14, January 21, January 28, February 4, April 8 and April 15. On-air talent, new broadcast enhancements and playoff coverage will be released at a later date for both networks.
