"This event is always a lot of fun for the fans. We understand the importance of giving back and having a connection with them," said Brenden Morrow. "The fans and anybody else who was there had the opportunity to check out what was going on and I hope that most got to see a lot of us at the different tables. We’ve been doing this event before each season just to let the fans know that we are back and looking forward to their support."
Fans in attendance, which was estimated at around 5,000-plus, won autographed Stars jerseys right off the back of one of the players at the event. A different jersey winner was drawn every 15 minutes as Jeff K and Celena Rae announced the winners as well as interviewed the players. Daryl “Razor” Reaugh was also on-hand, chatting with fans in linewhile taping some fun bits for future use with the camera. Razor is always a big hit with the fans and Saturday was no exception.

Some of the newer players were surprised and impressed with the turnout on Saturday as fans flocked the autograph lines at the Galleria Dallas. When the players went up at 11 a.m. to begin signing autographs a big cheer came from crowd that you could hear throughout the four levels of the mall.
Over 10,000 autographs were given out to fans at the Ice Breaker.
"I wasn’t here for this last year but I was impressed with the turnout today,” said Stars defenseman Mattias Norstrom. “It was great to see all the fans. It was a fun event, not just for the fans, but for the players too."
The Dallas Stars would like to thank Galleria Dallas, Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket, 93.3 The Bone, 99.5 The Wolf, I GoBananas.com, Carter BloodCare, FSN Southwest, and My 27 for helping make this year's Ice Breaker possible.
