American Airlines and the Dallas Stars\r\nPresent Fan Appreciation Night

American Airlines has partnered up with the Dallas Stars to help make this year’s Fan Appreciation Game a special evening.

The 2008 Dallas Stars Fan Appreciation Game, presented by American Airlines, is slated for Friday, April 4, as the team hosts the Phoenix Coyotes at American Airlines Center (7:30 p.m. face-off). The Stars, along with American Airlines and other sponsors, will be giving prizes to lucky fans throughout the game. There will also be some other fun and surprises throughout the evening.

“Dallas Stars Fan Appreciation Night is always a fun evening and one of the most anticipated games of the season,” said Stars President Jeff Cogen. “We really appreciate our fans, who are as loyal as they come. We’re excited that we could partner with American Airlines to make the night even more special.”

American Airlines is also stepping up its game by giving fans a chance to win something before the game is even played. Fans had the opportunity sign up for a chance to win four seats on the glass for the Fan Appreciation Game on April 4, as well as two domestic round trip tickets on American Airlines. No purchase is necessary.

“American Airlines is thrilled to be hosting the Stars fan appreciation night. We are excited to have the opportunity to reward fans with great prizes for their support and enthusiasm throughout the season,” said Billy Sanez, director of advertising, promotions and corporate communications for American Airlines. “We look forward to a great match up between the Stars and Coyotes and a fun-filled evening for all of the fans.”

The Stars are in a heated race in both the Pacific Division and the Western Conference. This game is certain to have a big impact on the standings as well.

“Phoenix comes to play every night and they certainly have played well against us this season,” said Stars Head Coach Dave Tippett. “The final games are going to be exciting and we need to be ready to play. We know our fans will be behind us and we look forward to a loud building on Fan Appreciation Night. It should be fun.”
