Iowa Stars complete upset of division champs
By CalderCup.com

Shane Endicott broke a tie with 12:14 left in regulation and Iowa went on to a 5-2 win over Omaha on Saturday night, finishing off a six-game triumph over the West Division champions in the first round of the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs.

The Stars will face Chicago in the West Division final, beginning Wednesday night in Rosemont, Ill.

Endicott's game-winner came just 15 seconds after Omaha had tied the score on a goal by Tim Hambly. Junior Lessard added two empty-net goals to seal the victory.

Joel Lundqvist and Jonas Vas also scored for Iowa and Dan Ellis made 22 saves in the win.

The Stars were 3-0 on home ice in the series.
