The Stars beat Manitoba again on Saturday, 3-1, for their fifth straight win. Lindgren had a goal and an assist, Gagnon scored a goal and Sergei Korostin scored the game-winner. Brent Krahn made 33 saves on 34 shots to improve to 6-1-0 on the season.

The Stars lost on Wednesday in overtime to the Peoria Rivermen by a score of 5-4. Warren Peters and Vishnevskiy scored for Texas, while Gagnon and Garrett Stafford each got two assists. Climie made 32 saves on 37 shots.

Noteworthy:

Texas plays at Rockford on Friday, at home against Chicago on Saturday, at San Antonio on Sunday and at Rockford again on Wednesday.  The Stars’ complete schedule can be found here.

Texas is second in the Western Conference and the AHL at 10-2-3 (23 points). The Stars lead Peoria in the West Division by six points.

Despite the loss, the Stars have picked up points in each of their last eight games (6-0-2, 14 points).

Brent Krahn and Matt Climie are ranked second and third respectively in the AHL in goals-against average (GAA). Krahn has a 1.58 GAA, while Climie’s is 1.59. Hamilton’s Curtis Sanford leads the league at 1.40.
