Stars Agree To Terms With Morin And Sceviour

Morin, 26, appeared in 64 games with the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League (AHL) last season, ranking second on the club in points with 45 (21 goals, 24 assists). He also led the club in scoring during the playoffs with seven points (3g, 4a). Morin made his NHL debut in 2010-11 with Dallas after dressing in three games and recording two shots.
The Brooklyn Park, Minn., native skated in 80 games with the Texas Stars in 2009-10, tying the club lead in assists (31) and totaling 52 points. Morin helped Texas reach the Calder Cup finals in the spring of 2010, posting four goals and 12 assists in 24 games. The 6-2, 195-pound center was originally drafted in the ninth round (263rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by Washington.

The 6-0, 201-pound right wing helped the Texas Stars reach the Calder Cup Finals in the club’s inaugural season in 2009-10. Sceviour skated in 80 games, tallying 31 points (9g, 22a), during the regular season and 24 contests, accruing eight points (1g, 7a), during the playoffs. He was selected by Dallas in the fourth round (112nd overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
