Dallas’ First Round Selections in Last Three NHL Drafts to Participate

The Stars’ last three first round picks, defenseman Jamie Oleksiak (14th overall at 2011 NHL Entry Draft), goaltender Jack Campbell (11th overall at 2010 NHL Entry Draft), and right wing Scott Glennie (8th overall at 2009 NHL Entry Draft) will be participating in the week-long camp. Other notable draft picks attending the camp will be Alex Chiasson (2009, 2nd round), Tyler Beskorowany (2008, 2nd round), Patrik Nemeth (2010, 2nd round), Scott Winkler (2008, 3rd round), Reilly Smith (2009, 3rd round), Alexander Guptill (2010, 3rd round), Alex Theriau (2010, 4th round), Tomas Vincour (2009, 5th round), John Klingberg (2010, 5th round), and Mike Bergin (2008, 7th round). Additionally, five of Dallas’ six selections from the 2011 NHL Entry Draft are scheduled to attend (Oleksiak, Brett Ritchie, Emil Molin, Troy Vance and Jyrki Jokipakka).
Other notable invitees to the Stars Development camp include Mexican native Julian Ramirez. He played this past season with University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico. Also attending is right wing Justin Jones, the brother of top 2013 NHL prospect Seth Jones; both are sons of former Dallas Mavericks player and current New Jersey Nets Assistant Coach Popeye Jones.
