Former Stars center Mike Modano has made a decision on his hockey playing future. He is retiring as a player in the National Hockey League. Modano made the announcement on his official Facebook Fan Page: http://tinyurl.com/3ugr8lz

Modano will hold a press conference this Friday at 1:00 pm (CT). The press conference will be streamed LIVE here at DallasStars.com.

“Mike Modano was an incredible player and an icon in our sport,” said Stars General Manager Joe Nieuwendyk. “He was invaluable in helping sell the game of hockey in Dallas.
