Stars Place Adam Pardy On Injured Reserve

Adam Pardy
Frisco, Tex. – The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has placed defenseman Adam Pardy on Injured Reserve, retroactive to Oct. 1.

Pardy, 27, suffered a rib injury on Oct. 1 in a preseason game at St. Louis. The 6-2, 206-pound defenseman was signed as a free agent by Dallas on July 1. Pardy appeared in four preseason games for the Stars, scoring one goal. He played in 30 games last year with the Calgary Flames, scoring one goal and six assists with 24 penalty minutes.

The move gets the Stars’ active roster down to the 23-man limit to begin the 2011-12 regular season. The roster is attached.

The Dallas Stars will open up the team’s 18th season in North Texas on Friday night vs. the Chicago Blackhawks at 7:30 pm (TV: Fox Sports Southwest, Radio: Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket).
