Dallas Stars activate Robidas from IR: Assign Dillon to Texas Stars

Frisco, TX – The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has activated defenseman Stephane Robidas from injured reserve and assigned defenseman Brenden Dillon to the Texas Stars, Dallas’ primary affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Robidas, 34, has missed the last six games with a lower body injury suffered during practice on Dec. 20, 2011. The 5-11, 197-pound defenseman has skated in 32 games this season for Dallas, recording 11 points (2 goals, 9 assists). He ranks second among Dallas defensemen with 83 hits and leads the team averaging 22:39 in time-on-ice per game (TOI/G).
Dillon, 21, has played in 31 games for Texas this season, scoring two goals and 11 assists for 13 points and 34 penalty minutes. He was signed to a three-year contract as a free agent on March 3, 2011. The 6-2, 198-pound defenseman played in 72 games with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL last season, scoring eight goals and 51 assists for 59 points.

The Dallas Stars will face off against the Nashville Predators on Thursday, Jan. 5 at Bridgestone Arena (7 p.m., TV: FOX Sports Southwest Plus; Radio: 1310 The Ticket).
