Dallas Stars Assign Matt Fraser To Texas Stars

Frisco, TX – The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has assigned forward Matt Fraser to the Texas Stars, Dallas’ primary affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). Fraser was recalled on Feb. 22 and was a healthy scratch in last night’s game against Chicago.
 
Fraser, 21, appeared in his first career NHL game earlier this season against Anaheim on Jan. 24. In 50 games for Texas this season, Fraser ranks second on the team in scoring with 42 points (26 goals, 16 assists). He leads the club with 26 goals and ranks fourth overall in goal scoring in the AHL. The 6-2, 207-pound forward was signed to a three-year entry-level contract by Dallas on Nov. 17, 2010.
 
The Dallas Stars faceoff against the Minnesota Wild tonight at 7:30 p.m. CT at American Airlines Center (TV: FOX Sports Southwest; Radio:1310 The Ticket).
