Prospect Report: Brett Ritchie Notches goal and assist

Here are some notes on Dallas Stars prospects from Thursday’s games:

Stars prospects Brett Ritchie (second round/2011) and Radek Faksa (first round/2012) went head-to-head in the Ontario Hockey League Thursday night, and Ritchie and his Niagara IceDogs came out on top, defeating Faksa and the Kitchener Rangers, 2-0. Ritchie had a strong game for Niagara, getting several scoring chances, assisting on Niagara’s first goal and then sealing the victory with a late empty net tally. Ritchie now has 18 points (five goals, 13 assists) in 17 games this season.
