Dallas Stars Assign Richard Bachman and Jamie Oleksiak To The Texas Stars

The Dallas Stars announced today that they have assigned goaltender Richard Bachman and defenseman Jamie Oleksiak to the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Bachman, 25, has a .911 save percentage (SV%) and a 2.74 goals against average (GAA) in 19 career NHL games. Last season, he became the first Stars goaltender to shutout the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden since Gump Worsley in 1972. The Salt Lake City, Utah native was Dallas' fourth-round selection (120th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Oleksiak, 20, has skated in 38 games for Texas this season, earning 17 points (3G-14A) and a plus-6 rating. Earlier this week, he was selected to participate in the 2013 AHL All-Star Game Classic in Providence. The 6-foot-7, Toronto, Ont. native was Dallas' first-round selection (14th overall) in 2011.
