About the Stars
The Stars (3-5-1) lost 2-0 at Phoenix Saturday, going 1-1-0 in a weekend home-and-home with the Coyotes. The Stars, who were shutout for the second time in five road games, have scored just four goals on the road this season.
“I don’t think we threw enough pucks randomly at the net and got bodies there,” said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. “We get a little too cute. It wasn’t until later until we started to do that. When you’re on your heels a quarter of the game, that’s what happens, no momentum.”
The Stars, who were outshot 34-17 in the game, were shorthanded seven times and were on the power play for just 41 seconds in the game.
Derek Roy, who has missed the last five games with a groin injury, is expected to return for Monday night’s game.
