Benn breaks out

After picking up just one assist in his first four games, Jamie Benn got on track in the points department Monday night, registering 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist). He scored 2:21 into the game to put the Stars up 1-0, stealing the puck from Matt Hunwick and scoring on a breakaway. He scored the game winning goal late in the second, beating Colorado goaltender Semyon Varlamov with a shot from the slot during a delayed penalty. The three-point night was the eighth of Benn’s career. It was his ninth multi-goal game.
