Dallas Stars Recall Antoine Roussel From Texas Stars

The Dallas Stars announced today that forward Antoine Roussel has been recalled from the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Roussel, 23, ranks eighth in scoring with 19 points (8G-11A) for Texas this season and leads the team with 107 penalty minutes in 43 games. On Feb. 1, Roussel made his NHL debut against the Phoenix Coyotes, where he earned his first career NHL goal on his first shot. In his five NHL appearances, Roussel has one goal and seven shots with six penalty minutes. The Roubaix, France native is the eighth French-born player to skate in an NHL game, and is one of five Dallas Stars since 2006 to score a goal in his first NHL contest. Roussel went undrafted and was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 2, 2012.

The Dallas Stars are currently on a three-game winning streak and faceoff against the Edmonton Oilers tomorrow night (Tuesday, Feb. 12) at 8:30 pm CT (TV: FOX Sports Southwest; Radio: 1310 The Ticket).
