Stars-Canucks Preview

Dallas Stars at Vancouver Canucks

Friday February 15

9:00 p.m.

TV: Fox Sports Southwest

Radio: KTCK-1310 (AM)

About the Stars

The Stars (7-6-1) had a four-game winning streak snapped with a 7-4 loss at Calgary Wednesday night. The Stars fell behind 3-0 in the first ten minutes of the game and could never recover.

Friday’s game in Vancouver will conclude a three-game road trip for the Stars, who are 1-1-0 in the first two games.

“You have to play a real honest game or (the Canucks) will hurt you. So, we’re going to play them hard and honest,” said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. “There are no secrets with them. They’ve been doing their thing for lots of years, the coaching staff does a great job and they are a well-oiled machine. We have to play them hard and honest.”

Friday’s game will be the Stars tenth road game in their first 15 games of the season. They are 4-5-0 in their first nine on the road.

Kari Lehtonen is expected to start in goal for the Stars.

Injuries: LW Ray Whitney (foot) is out.
