Dallas Stars at Nashville Predators

About the Stars

The Stars (9-8-1) are coming off a 3-1 victory over San Jose Saturday at American Airlines Center. Cristopher Nilstorp stopped 31 of 32 shots for his first NHL win, and Jamie Benn had a goal, an assist and a fight in the game.

“Whenever you can get a chance to get points against your own division, it’s big,” said Benn. “We were fortunate enough to get two points tonight, and I thought our team played pretty good.”

The Stars lost defenseman Aaron Rome and Philip Larsen during the game.

The Stars recalled defensemen Jamie Oleksiak and Carl Sneep from the Texas Stars of the AHL on Sunday.

Rome and defenseman Trevor Daley were placed on IR Sunday. Daley is eligible to come off IR Monday, and is expected to play.

Nilstorp is the likely starter in goal for the Stars.

Injuries: D Trevor Daley (neck ) is probable. D Philip Larsen (head), D Aaron Rome (foot), G Kari Lehtonen (groin) and LW Ray Whitney (foot) are out.
