Tom Wandell Clears Waivers, Assigned to Texas Stars

The Dallas Stars announced today that forward Tom Wandell cleared waivers and was assigned to the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). Wandell had been skating with Texas the last two weeks as part of a conditioning assignment.

Wandell, 26, has 42 points (19G-23A) in 218 career NHL games. He has four assists and two penalty minutes in four games with the Texas Stars this season. The Sodertalje, Sweden native was Dallas' fifth-round selection (146th overall) in 2005.

The Dallas Stars faceoff against the St. Louis Blues this Sunday, March 3 at American Airlines Center at 2:00 pm CT (TV: FOX Sports Southwest; Radio: 1310 The Ticket).
