PrintDallas Stars captain Brenden Morrow is questionable for Saturday’s game at Phoenix after tweaking his groin in Thursday’s 5-2 victory at Los Angeles.
Morrow suffered the injury in the first period, but played through it and scored the game-winning goal early in the third period. He didn’t play the final half of the third.
“He did it in the first or second shift, I think, of the game. He had two or three heat packs on the bench just to get him through the game,” said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. “He’s tougher than the average guy, so we’ll see where he is tomorrow. He’s probably questionable I would think, but you never know with Brenden.
