About the Stars
The Stars (13-12-3) snapped a four-game winless streak with a 4-3 win over Calgary Monday at American Airlines Center. The win came after the Stars were routed 8-1 by Chicago in their previous game.
“That was a big win for us, especially after our last game,” said Stars forward Eric Nystrom, who scored a goal Monday’s game. “We wanted to bounce back and have a good effort, and we did for the most part. That’s a huge two points, we’re right back in the thick of things. It was tough the past couple days, but we’re right back in it.”
The Stars, who ended their four-game homestand with a 1-2-1 mark, play their next two games on the road.
The Stars recalled G Jack Campbell from the Texas Stars of the AHL on Monday and assigned G Richard Bachman to Texas. They also placed F Ryan Garbutt on injured reserve.
Kari Lehtonen is expected to start in goal Wednesday.
Injuries: RW Ryan Garbutt (hand) and D Aaron Rome (foot) are out.
