Quick recap: Stars 3, Ducks 1

The Dallas Stars snapped a three-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks Friday night at Honda Center. Lane MacDermid, Eric Nystrom and Alex Chiasson scored goals for the Stars, who received a 27-save performance from goaltender Kari Lehtonen. The Stars, who are 17-17-3 on the season, remain in 13th place in the Western Conference, five points out of eight place.

Chiasson scores first NHL goal, MacDermid tallies again

Stars forward Alex Chiasson scored his first NHL goal, tallying off a give-and-go with Vernon Fiddler late in the first period to give the Stars a 3-1 lead. Chiasson’s goal came in his second NHL game.

Lane MacDermid, who scored his first NHL goal in Wednesday’s game, scored again Friday. He scored off a two-on-rush to give the Stars a 1-0 lead 9:03 into the game.
