Dallas Stars Recall Jordie Benn From Texas Stars

The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Jordie Benn from the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Benn, 25, has posted 21 points (7G-14A) with 33 penalty minutes in 43 games for Texas this season. The Victoria, B.C., native has appeared in 23 games with Dallas during the 2012-13 campaign, notching six points (1G-5A) with 10 penalty minutes. Earlier this season, Benn recorded his first career NHL goal on March 23 against the Colorado Avalanche. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound defenseman went undrafted and was signed by Dallas on July 25, 2012 to a one-year contract extension.

The Dallas Stars return to American Airlines Center to faceoff against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. CT (TV: FOX Sports Southwest PLUS; Radio: 1310 The Ticket).
