Dallas Stars Recall Reilly Smith From Texas Stars

The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has recalled forward Reilly Smith from the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). Smith was recalled on emergency conditions for Alex Chiasson and Lane MacDermid.

Smith, 22, has skated in 31 games for Dallas this season, earning seven points (3G-4A), including his first career NHL goal on Feb. 15 against Vancouver. The Toronto native has skated in 45 games for Texas this season, notching 35 points (14G-21A) and currently is tied for fourth on the club in overall scoring. Since being assigned to Texas on March 26, Smith has notched eight points (3G-5A) in seven games with the club. Smith was Dallas' third-round selection (69th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
