Dallas Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen is listed as day to day after leaving Friday night’s game against the Winnipeg Jets with a lower body injury.
Stars coach Lindy Ruff didn’t have much of an update on Lehtonen after the game.
“He is day to day,” Ruff said when asked about Lehtonen.
It’s unclear when Lehtonen was hurt. He left during the TV timeout at 14:43 of the second period and was replaced by Dan Ellis. Lehtonen’s last save of the game was a pad stop on a close range shot by Evander Kane.
Lehtonen’s next scheduled start is Tuesday in Colorado. Ellis, who stopped 22 of 23 in 25:17 of playing time, will be in the net for Saturday’s tilt at Minnesota, a game he was already scheduled to start.
