Here are some notes on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, Europe and college.

*Center Gemel Smith (fourth round/2012) scored 2 goals in Owen Sound’s 5-4 loss to Windsor in the Ontario Hockey League on Sunday. Smith now has 15 goals in 15 games, and is tied for second in goal scoring in the OHL.

*Center Jason Dickinson (first round/2013) registered 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists) in 3 games over the past week for Guelph of the OHL. Dickinson has 16 points (6 goals, 10 assists) in 16 games.

*Left wing Remi Elie (second round/2013) had 3 assists in 3 games for Belleville of the OHL. Elie has 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists) in 8 games since being traded to Belleville from London within the OHL earlier this month.

Left wing Nick Paul (fourth round/2013) had 1 goal and 1 assist in 3 games over the past week for North Bay of the OHL. Paul has 10 points (6 goals, 4 assists) in 16 games this season, and leads North Bay in goal scoring.

*Right wing Cody Payne (trade acquisition/2013) has been out with illness for Saginaw of the OHL.

*LW Cole Ully (fifth round/2013) scored the game-tying goal with seven seconds remaining in regulation as Kamloops rallied to tie Everett 6-6 on Saturday. Everett got the extra point in overtime. Ully has 12 points (6 goals, 6 assists) in 13 games.

*Center Mike Winther (second round/2012) was suspended four games by the Western Hockey League for a check to the head major penalty.

*Goaltender Philippe Desrosiers (second round/2013) snapped a personal six game losing streak this past week. Desrosiers came in relief for the third period stopping all 8 shots he faced as Rimouski rallied from a 3-1 deficit to defeated Charlottetown, 5-3, in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

*Goaltender Maxime Lagace (free agent signing/2012) has been out for Cape Breton of the QMJHL with a lower body injury.

*Goaltender Henri Kiviaho (fifth round/2012) won his first game in Finland’s top league, stopping 27 of 28 shots as KalPa defeated the Lahti Pelicans, 2-1. It was the second start of the season for Kiviaho.

*Defensemen Esa Lindell (third round/2012) and Aleksi Makela (seventh round/2013) will play for Finland in upcoming tournaments. Lindell will play at a U20 tournament in Russia. Makela will play at a U19 tournament in Czech Republic.

*Defenseman John Klingberg (fifth round/2010) registered 1 goal and 1 assist as Frolunda defeated Orebro, 3-2, in the Swedish Hockey League last week. Klingberg has 10 points (5 goals, 5 assists) in 10 games this season. He ranks sixth among SHL defensemen in scoring.

*Forward Emil Molin (fourth round/2011) has been out with an injury for Brynas of the Swedish Hockey League.

*Left wing Alex Guptill (third round/2010) scored the game-winning goal as the University of Michigan defeated Boston University, 2-1, Friday. Guptill’s game-winner came on a penalty shot at 8:46 of the third period. Guptill has 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in 5 games this season.

*Forward Devin Shore (second round/2012) had 2 assists, including the primary assist on the overtime game-winning goal, as Maine defeated Massachusetts, 3-2, on Friday. Shore has 2 assists in 5 games this season.
