The Texas Stars went 1-2-0 over the past week and are now 5-3-1 (11 points) on the season. They are currently first in the AHL’s West Division and second in the Western Conference.

Texas won a big game at home against Oklahoma City on Wednesday, but squandered 2-0 leads in road losses to Milwaukee and Rockford.

Here’s a look at the past week for Dallas’ AHL affiliate.

Wednesday October 23: Texas 4, Oklahoma City 1

The Stars won their fourth straight game, defeating Oklahoma City 4-1 at Cedar Park Center Wednesday night. Jack Campbell, making his first start since his return from the NHL, stopped 25 of 26 shots.

“I thought Jack played really well for us, came in an made a couple big saves,” said Texas coach Willie Desjardins. “They maybe outplayed us in the first period. They’re a good team and it seemed like it was taking us a little while to get going for whatever reason. Jack kept us in there in the first, and allowed us to get our game back.”

Colton Sceviour scored two goals and Travis Morin and Brett Ritchie both picked up one goal and one assist for the Stars.

Saturday October 26: Milwaukee 4, Texas 2

The Stars opened a five game road trip with a 4-2 loss at Milwaukee on Saturday. Curtis McKenzie scored on the power play and Taylor Peters tallied shorthanded to give the Stars an early 2-0 lead, but Milwaukee scored three in the second period and one in the third. Cristopher Nilstorp got the start in goal and stopped 19 of 23 shots. The Stars were without Campbell, who “tweaked” a knee in practice. Texas signed Wisconsin-based goaltender Billy Sias as an emergency backup since Josh Robinson, who was called up from Idaho, couldn’t make it to the game in time.

Sunday October 27: Rockford 4, Texas 2

In a battle between two of the top teams in the Western Conference, the Stars came up short on Sunday, falling 4-2 at Rockford. Chris Mueller and Francis Wathier tallied for the Stars, who had a 2-0 lead five minutes into the game, but couldn’t hold it. Rockford scored one in the second and then socred three more in the third period. With Campbell still out, Nilstorp got a second straight start and stopped 30 of 33 shots. Texas outshot Rockford 48-34 in the game.
