The Texas Stars went 1-1-1 over the past week and are now 6-4-2 on the season. They are second in the West Division and sixth in the Western Conference.

The Stars, who were already without goaltender Jack Campbell due to a knee injury, lost goalie Cristopher Nilstorp to an injury last week as well.

Here’s a look at the past week for Dallas’ AHL affiliate.

Wednesday October 30, Milwaukee 3, Texas 2 (OT)

The Stars winless streak hit three games (0-2-1) with a 3-2 overtime loss at Milwaukee. Colton Sceviour and Brett Ritchie scored first period goals to stake the Stars to a 2-0 lead, but the Admirals scored twice in the third period to force overtime and then won it in the extra period. It was the third straight game Texas had a 2-0 lead and failed to win. Cristopher Nilstorp got the start in goal and stopped 24 of 27 shots.

Friday November 1, Iowa 4, Texas 2

The Stars winless streak hit four games (0-3-1) with a 4-2 loss at Iowa on Friday. Nilstorp was out due to injury, so Josh Robinson got the start in goal and the Stars signed local Iowa goaltender Derek Hender to an amateur tryout contract to backup Robinson for the game. Iowa built a 3-0 lead by early in the second period. Texas cut the lead to 3-2 on goals by Brendan Ranford and Chris Mueller, but Iowa sealed the win with a power play goal at 8:54 of the third period.

Saturday November 2, Texas 5, Iowa 0

Allen York, signed to a professional tryout contract Saturday afternoon, got the start in goal that night and stopped all 26 shots he faced as Texas snapped its four-game slide with a 5-0 win at Iowa. It was the second career AHL shutout for York, whose first one came with Springfield on April 11, 2011 vs. Bridgeport. Matej Stransky, Mueller, Mike Hedden, Jamie Oleksiak and Sceviour scored for Texas, which ended its five game road trip with a 1-3-1 record.
