TV: TXA-21

About the Stars

The Stars (12-9-2) rallied to defeat the Anaheim Ducks, 6-3, Tuesday at American Airlines Center. Down 2-1 entering the third period, the Stars scored three goals in 53 seconds to take a 4-2 lead in the game. The victory snapped a four-game home winless streak for the Stars.

"We want to establish ourselves as a good home team. We want to play well at home in front of our fans,” said Stars defenseman Stephane Robidas. “We haven't been able to do it this year, so we want to make a statement where it's tough to play in our building.”

The Stars got a big game from their fourth line of Antoine Roussel (two goals), Vernon Fiddler (two assists) and Ryan Garbutt (one goal, two assists).

“It just can’t be [Tyler] Seguin and [Jamie] Benn every night,” Roussel said. “Some nights they are going to be off and we have to be there for them. It was great that the puck went in for us.”

Seguin did not practice Wednesday and Thursday for the Stars due to a muscle issue.

“We just decided to give him another day. He’s not quite where we need him,” Stars coach Lindy Ruff said. “He should be OK for [Friday], but not definitely.”

Injuries: Tyler Seguin (muscle issue) is questionable.

About the Blackhawks

The Blackhawks (18-4-4) rallied for a 3-2 victory in Calgary on Wednesday. Down 2-0 entering the third period, Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp scored 56 seconds apart midway through the period to tie the game, and then Kane scored with 18 seconds remaining to win it.

"We had chances in the first two periods and I think it was just a matter of time before it was coming," Kane said. "That first one was kind of lucky, but at that point and time you'll take it to get yourself back in the game at 2-1. It was a great play by Hossa and Sharp on the second goal. It's what you come to expect from those guys."

Chicago goaltender Antti Raanta stopped 20 shots to get the win in his first NHL start.

The Blackhawks, who won their fourth straight game, improved to 4-1-0 on their road trip, which concludes Saturday in Phoenix.

Injuries: F Bryan Bickell (lower body), G Nikolai Khabibulin (lower body) and D Mike Kostka (lower body) are out.
