Here are some notes on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, Europe and college.

*C Radek Faksa (first round/2012) had 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) in 2 games for Kitchener of the Ontario Hockey League this past week. Faksa has 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists) in his last 6 games.

*LW/C Jason Dickinson (first round/2013) picked up 1 goal in 2 games for Guelph of the OHL this past week. Dickinson has 15 points (6 goals, 9 assists) in his last 10 games.

*LW Remi Elie (second round/2013) registered 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) in 3 games for Belleville of the OHL. Ellie has picked up points in 11 of his last 12 games and has 14 points (7 goals, 7 assists) during that stretch.

*RW Cody Payne (trade acquisition/2013) scored 1 goal in 3 games for the OHL’s Saginaw Spirit over the past week. The goal came on the power play, giving Payne a team-high 5 power play goals this season.

*C Gemel Smith (fourth round/2012) had 1 assist in 3 games for Owen Sound of the OHL. Despite not scoring a goal, Smith is still tied for fifth in the OHL with 20 goals in 28 games.

*F Matej Paulovic (fifth round/2013) was released by the Peterborough Petes of the OHL last week. The Stars said Paulovic is discussing options with his agent and family and is considering possibilities in both North America and Europe. Paulovic had 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in 18 games with Peterborough.

*RW Branden Troock (fifth round/2012) picked up 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists) in 3 games for Seattle of the WHL. Troock has 27 points (10 goals, 17 assists) in 28 games.

*LW Cole Ully (fifth round/2013) notched 2 assists in 2 games for Kamloops of the WHL. Ully leads Kamloops in scoring with 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists) in 26 games.

*G Philippe Desrosiers (second round/2013) started one game for Rimouski of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, stopping 21 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss to Quebec. Desrosiers is 8-7-5 with a 3.03 goals against average and .888 save percentage. Desrosiers ranks ninth in the league in GAA in the high-scoring QMJHL.

*G Maxime Lagace (free agent/2012) has been traded within the QMJHL, moving to Shawinigan from Cape Breton. Lagace remains out with a lower body injury.

*LW Emil Molin (fourth round/2011) is switching teams in Sweden. A Stars official said Molin, who had been playing for Brynas in the Swedish Hockey league, is expected to play for Rogle of Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan. He’s expected to start playing for Rogle soon.

*Neither D John Klingberg (third round/2010) nor D Ludwig Bystrom (second round/2012) registered points in SHL over the past week. Klingberg has 13 points (5 goals, 8 assists) in 23 games for Frolunda. Bystrom has 7 points (2 goals, 5 assists) in 26 games for Farjestad.

*D Niklas Hansson (third round/2013) picked up an assist in each of his last two games for Rogle in Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan. Hansson has 3 assists in 22 games with Rogle this season. He has 12 points (4 goals, 8 assists) in 12 junior games.

*D Aleksi Makela (seventh round/2013) registered 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) in three games with Ilves in Finland’s top junior league. Makela has 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists) in 15 games.

*C Devin Shore (second round/2012) scored a goal in each of the University of Maine’s games this weekend. Shore, a sophomore, leads Maine in scoring with 12 points (6 goals, 6 assists) in 13 games.

*LW Alex Guptill (third round/2010) picked up 1 goal and 1 assist in Michigan’s 4-3 overtime win over Ohio State this weekend. Guptill has 10 points (5 goals, 5 assists) in 11 games.
