The Dallas Stars announced today that defenseman Aaron Rome has been placed on injured reserve, retroactive to the lower body injury he suffered on Nov. 24. The team also announced that forward Travis Morin has been recalled from the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Rome, 30, is in his second season with the Dallas Stars, posting five assists and 18 penalty minutes in 27 career games with the Stars. Morin, 29, leads the AHL with 29 points (11-18=29) in 19 games with Texas. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound forward has skated in three games for Dallas this season, posting two shots and a plus-1 rating for the NHL club. Originally drafted by Washington in the ninth round (263rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft, Morin was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 12, 2010.
