Dallas Stars Announce Lineup for KIA Victory Green Carpet Show for The Mike Modano Retirement Ceremony Presented by Albertsons
The Dallas Stars announced today the lineup for the KIA Victory Green Carpet Show from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. prior to the Mike Modano Retirement Ceremony Presented by Albertsons on March 8.

The Dallas Stars announced today the lineup for the KIA Victory Green Carpet Show from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. prior to the Mike Modano Retirement Ceremony Presented by Albertsons on March 8. The KIA Victory Green Carpet Show will begin the festivities at AT&T Plaza prior to the Dallas Stars game against the Minnesota Wild.

The KIA Victory Green Carpet Show will feature members of the 1999 Stanley Cup championship team, Mike Modano-themed merchandise and festive music on the AT&T Plaza. Fans attending the game are encouraged to line the carpet and watch the evening's special guests arrive at the arena.

American Airlines Center parking lots will open at 4:00 p.m. for the event and fans attending the game should plan on arriving at the arena by no later than 4:30 p.m. due to the high volume of traffic expected. The Mike Modano Retirement Ceremony Presented by Albertsons begins promptly at 6 p.m. and will be aired live on FOX Sports Southwest. The ceremony will be immediately followed by a special "Stars Live" pregame show live from AT&T Plaza featuring several exclusive interviews from the KIA Victory Green Carpet Show.

Mike Modano's No. 9 is set to be retired by the franchise, joining Neal Broten (No. 7), Bill Goldsworthy (No. 8), and Bill Masterton (No. 19) as the only players in team history to have their number retired.

Modano played 21 seasons in the NHL and is the all-time franchise leader in nearly every category, including games played (1,459), goals (557), assists (802), points (1,359), short-handed goals (29), game-winning goals (92) and power play tallies (156). A seven-time NHL All-Star and United States Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, Modano is also the American-born record holder in goals (561) and points (1,374). He was also instrumental in helping the Stars capture the 1999 Stanley Cup championship.

The Livonia, Michigan, native skated for Team USA at the Olympic Games on three separate occasions, winning the silver medal at the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City. He also captured the gold medal at the 1996 World Cup of Hockey; and was captain of the United States squad at the 2005 World Cup.

Modano was drafted first overall in 1988 by the Minnesota North Stars.
