Dallas Stars Recall Forwards Travis Morin and Chris Mueller
Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled forwards Travis Morin and Chris Mueller from the Texas Stars, Dallas’ development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Morin, 30, is in his sixth season with the Stars organization and his ninth in professional hockey. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound forward leads the AHL with 74 points (29-45=74) in 55 games for the Texas Stars this season and has a plus-1 rating in three games with Dallas in 2013-14.
Originally selected as the ninth-round selection (263rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft, the Brooklyn Park, Minn., native was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 2, 2010.
Mueller, 28, has appeared in three games for Dallas this season recording four shots. He is fourth on Texas with 54 points (24-30=54) in 58 games played and is tied for the AHL lead with 14 power play goals.
The 5-foot-11, 210-pound native of West Seneca, N.Y., was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 8, 2013.
