Bob Gainey Honorary Scholarship

In honor of Bob Gainey's dedicated service as a member of the Dallas Stars Foundation Board of Directors during his tenure with the team, the Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Bob Gainey Honorary Scholarship.

Each year one very deserving Metroplex high school senior athlete will be awarded the scholarship based on academic achievement, community and extracurricular involvement, and financial need. The recipient will receive $1,250 per year for up to four college years as long as certain grade and conduct standards are maintained.

The deadline for submitting applications each year is March 1st (or the Friday immediately preceding that date if it falls on a weekend). Interested high school seniors should visit their school counselor or click here to print out an application form.
