Hockey and Figure Skating Scholarships
The Dallas Stars created the Junior Stars and Star Champions Scholarship Funds in 1997 to promote sportsmanship and academics as part of the figure skating and hockey experiences. The Dallas Stars Foundation has continued the program, awarding hockey and figure skating scholarships to young Dr Pepper StarCenter athletes each year. When selecting scholarship recipients, the Foundation looks for individuals who exhibit strong academic performance in school, financial need, involvement in extracurricular and/or community activities, and exemplary conduct during practices, games and competitions.
