Forming the broadcast team for the Stars for the 14th consecutive season will be Ralph Strangis and Daryl Reaugh. Strangis begins his 20th season as a Stars broadcaster while Reaugh will serve in his 14th season as the Stars’ color analyst.
LOCAL TELEVISION:
FOX Sports Southwest provides quality local sports programming to over 10 million cable and satellite TV subscribers in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and parts of New Mexico. The Stars’ home opener on Friday, Oct. 3 vs. the Nashville Predators is featured on the FOX Sports Southwest schedule, as well as the club’s traditional New Year’s Eve contest, this year against the Anaheim Ducks (Dec. 31, 7:00 p.m.).
FOX Sports Southwest's comprehensive coverage includes "Stars Live" pre and postgame shows before and after every game, a weekly "Stars Insider" magazine show, and interview and documentary specials airing throughout the season.
Fifteen games will be broadcast locally over the air on My 27 (Channel 27), which returns for its 10th season of televising Dallas Stars hockey. My 27’s first Stars broadcast for the upcoming season will be at Colorado on Saturday, Oct. 24.
All local home game telecasts and selected road games will once again this season be produced in high-definition and carried on FOX Sports Southwest-HD and My 27-HD.
NATIONAL TELEVISION:
VERSUS will televise five Stars contests: Wednesday, Nov. 25 vs. St. Louis; Tuesday, Dec. 29 vs. Chicago; Monday, Jan. 18 vs. Minnesota; Tuesday, Feb. 2 vs. Minnesota; and Monday, Mar. 8 at Washington.
NBC Sports (KXAS-TV, Channel 5 in Dallas-Ft. Worth) has chosen one Dallas Stars contest as a candidate to be chosen as the NBC NHL “Game of the Week” -- Sunday, Mar. 14 vs. Colorado. First introduced in 2007, the NHL on NBC will feature flexible scheduling for regular season dates on the network. NBC will have nearly two weeks in advance of a particular weekend to select which games will air.
