Charlie Turano started Genesco Sports Enterprises in 1994 from his partner’s apartment as the first agency focused on representing major corporations in their negotiation and activation of sports properties. Genesco soon became the “Go To” agency in sports marketing, which represented clients Pepsi, MasterCard, Motorola, Coors, Sirius, RadioShack, Frito-Lay, Dean Foods and others. Turano sold his half of the agency in 2006, but continued to consult Genesco Sports Enterprises during his 5-Year non-compete agreement. In 2011, Turano joined Michelle Lemmons, ISB Global as a Partner, to leverage his relationships in building a Sports & Entertainment platform across ISB’s Speakers Bureau, Publishing, New media, Merchandising, TV/Film, Consulting and Ventures disciplines. Turano is an active member of the National Italian American Foundation, is a partner with Jay Lombardo at Lombardo Custom Apparel, owns handful of Jimmy Johns Sandwich Shops and is a partner in Rodney Anderson Insurance Services.
