While the Dallas Stars players were busy on the ice, the Dallas Stars Foundation was busy preparing for their biggest off-ice event of the season, the 15th Annual Dallas Stars Park Place Lexus Jaguar Casino Night. This year’s event was held at the new Park Place Lexus in Plano on January 28, 2014.

And all that work paid off! The Foundation raised over $230,000, making it the 2nd highest grossing Casino Night to date. With over 500 people in attendance the event was quite a success.

“It’s great for our fans, great for our season ticket holders,” said Mike Modano, Executive Advisor and Alternate Governor of the Dallas Stars. “It’s good for our fans to mingle and get to know our players on a little bit of a different basis. And all for a great cause.”

Some lucky fans won the opportunity to play TopGolf with Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn, or go on a two-game road trip during the 2014-15 season.

But aside from all the great live and silent auction items, it was a great chance to for Stars fans to play craps, blackjack or even poker with the Dallas Stars players. Players were even on hand to jump in the photo booth and make a funny face.

Those feeling extra lucky could try their hand at the Real Deal Diamonds Diamond Bar. For $50 guests could purchase a glass of champagne for hopes of finding the five carat diamond. For attendee, Barbara Glover, the gamble paid off. She was the winner of the diamond and had Real Deal Diamonds set it as a ring for her.

And the Foundation didn’t let anyone go hungry. The event was catered by Silver Fox and the food was nothing short of amazing! For guests who found themselves thirsty they could get a drink provided by Brown-Forman, Anheuser-Busch and Dr Pepper or a glass of wine from Robert Mondavi at one of the five bars.

And let’s not forget the fantastic venue. The new Park Place Lexus dealership in Plano transformed into a modern, luxurious casino.

To top off the night Stars owner, Tom Gaglardi, promised to match the funds raised at Casino Night up to $100,000. What a night for a great cause.
