Toby Petersen is entering his ninth NHL season and his fifth season with Dallas. Last season, Petersen skated in his 300th career NHL game at NYI on 10/9/10  Petersen has never accured more than 14 PIM in an NHL season and has appeared in 18 NHL playoff games, recording one goal in that span. During his time with the Iowa Stars (AHL) in 2007-08, was named the team's MVP after tallying 51 points (21-30-51) in 63 games.
